Check-In
Check-In with Myself
Son Numero Uno is progressing in rehab. Yesterday, he announced his intention to transition into sober living post his residential time. I think going to a sober living home is a great idea. I’m not as fond of the fact that he intends to stay in Tampa because of his proximity to his estranged wife and his tendency to take the next step too fast. The contentious relationship with his wife has been a huge trigger for his drinking, and I wish he could find a facility that gives him what he’s looking for as far as a location that also would put distance between them.
I’ve been struggling with doing more than reading all day. I think about clipping a dog or sorting a mess I’ve created by beginning to declutter a space. I seem to be able to pull things out, sorting goes well, then the reorganize is the stalling point.
New Week Wrap-up
I’ve been doing a little better this week with my motivation. I’ve been clipping dogs and must admit, post-disinfection, I feel better at the end of the day. I’m not an overachiever; I only clip one dog per day, but that’s enough for me.
Yesterday, I gave myself a day off because I had two appointments at midday. I made enough orzo salad to share with Brady and Kelly. The evening was topped off with The Pitt.
Today, I’m headed back to stink city and another dog clip.
